Along the west coast of Calabria overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea the mountain backdrop is home to several old towns, including Belvedere Marittimo, situated between Scalea to the north and Amantea to the south.

An hour’s drive from Lamezia Terme, Belvedere is just 2km from the seaside resort of Belvedere Marittimo.

Close to the castle in Belvedere old town, we have a 55 sqm property which requires minor renovation and upgrading. The townhouse is accessed through a charming arched portal and down a few steps. The front door opens into a hallway. To the left is the bathroom. Down a few steps and again on the left is the kitchen. To the right there is an entry way into one of two large rooms, both of which have balconies and great views of the mountains and sea. Parking is close by and the main old town is a few metres walk. Belvedere’s main piazza is reminiscent of Ravello on the Amalfi. With lots of narrow streets, bars and local shops, Belvedere is a traditional Italian Centro Storico. If you are looking to acquire a piece of Italian history, this is an affordable option.

Entry hallway – 8 sqm
The hallway accesses the bathroom and down a small flight of stairs to the kitchen. At the bottom of the stairs entry to the two large rooms is on the right.

Bathroom – 3 sqm
Here we would remove the current studded wall and enlarge the bathroom space by a few metres. This would give enough space for shower, toilet and sink.

Kitchen – 9 sqm
The kitchen’s light source is via a window. Large enough for a modest kitchen, with all the usual kitchen appliances.

1st room – 18 sqm
A rectangular room with large balcony doors and Juliet balcony to enjoy the stunning mountain view. This room requires re-plastering, the balcony doors replacing and a new door to the second room. The original floor tiles are in very good condition and could be buffed up to their former glory.

2nd room – 19 sqm
This room includes large balcony doors and Juliet balcony with both sea and mountain views. The balcony doors require replacing and this room will need re-plastering. There is a false wall to the rear which we suggest removing to reveal a rock wall. This would make a tremendous feature. There are also ceiling beams which can be restored.
