This is a terrace-house on the sea, facing the beach of Favazzina-locality Manto Bianco (Italy, Calabria) part of the municipality of Scilla-the town of the mermaids, the sorceress Circe and the renowned swordfish. Legend tells it that Glauco, the son of Poseidon, fell madly in love with Scylla, a beautiful woman, so lovely that the sorceress Circe, in love with Glauco, and blinded by jealousy, turned Scilla into a sea monster, which frightens sailors crossing the Strait of Messina.
Favazzina is located about 5.6km from the center of the town of Scilla, 10 minutes by car, walkable on foot or by bicycle. Scilla doesn't have a public transportation, however, in the summer period private bee cars are active for a fee for transportation services and sightseeing tours.
Scilla can be reached by train, cabs and buses both private and public at different rates.
