Description
Villa Silvana is an ancient Vesuvian residence of the nineteenth century belonged to various families of Naples Kingdo, including Vargas and Sanseverino.
It is a 5-minute drive from Ruins of Pompeii, 20 minutes from Naples, 40 from Sorrento and has a large parking. The Villa is adjacent to Circumvesuviana railway station in Boscoreale, from where the trains to Pompeii, Naples and Sorrento depart.
The current owners, the Fiorenza family, in addition to using it as their residence, they reserved the ground floor to hospitality, obtaining four luxury suites, finely furnished by experienced architects, giving the structure a fair balance between classic and modern.
The four suites, with a Fresco Hall and a Gentle Chapel, are immersed in an enchanting roses and citrus garden of about 3.000 sqm: 800 rose bushes and of over 100 different varieties and a pergola of lemons of 60 metres long.
Villa Silvana is also the place where the "Ancient Rose of Pompeii" was born, a research project promoted by the Fiorenza family and entrusted to the Archaeological Superintendence of Pompeii and to the University of Naples on the "constitution" of a rose attributable to that widespread Pompeii in Roman times.
Actually, the roses of Villa Silvana are grown in the gardens of the Pompeii ruins and with its petals Mrs. Silvana prepares delicious jams and precious fragrances with ancient recipes.
