CONTEXT
Sacco (province of Salerno, Alto Cilento), a small village of about 400 inhabitants, 600 meters above sea level, in the mountain group of the Cervati, on the slope of Mount Motola, with a view that extends - on the clear days - to the Amalfi Coast. We are in the charming Cilento National Park, full of woods, valleys, springs and unspoilt landscapes, now green and hammocked, full of olive groves, now rough and windy, of heath and chestnut groves, a few kilometers from the Cilento coast, with its long sandy beaches, and the Amalfi Coast, with its villages nestled in the mountains that overlook the sea. And then, Ravello, Amalfi and Positano, Capri and Ischia at your fingertips ... by sea, some of the most famous archaeological sites (Paestum, Pompei, Herculano), bathing, with a wide selection between high and low coast, Salerno and Naples, if the city and its offers were missing, gastronomy among the most varied and tasty in the world. All this, with great ease of access, via the motorway (up to 30 km from the village), the high train speed (up to Salerno) and two airports, with the nearest one (Salerno) in process of rapid expansion.
THE PALACE
And it is there, in the town center, that there is the building, a kind residence from the 170s, close to alleys that go up to the mountain, facing the valleys that decline to the sea.
The structure was completely renovated and strengthened in the mid-80s and was restored in 2015, with verification and adaptation of the systems in accordance with the law. Hot water and rings are powered by gas; the heating system (thermo-fireplace with cast iron terminals) is working but needs verification, considering its sporadic use, for mainly summer dating.
The magione - inserted between terraced houses, along the main artery of the village - is spread over four levels and is accessed by a large door with stone architraves, adorned by the coat of arms of the house.
The building, typical of the Neapolitan kindness architecture from the 600-700s, rotates, inside, for the first three levels, on a bright entrance hall - with at the base a large cistern well, in stone, and flights of stairs broke by arches - culminating in a transparent vault where the mountain profile on the back of the building is mirrored.
The ground floor ( 80 sqm) consists of a large entrance hall that leads to an internal entrance hall with a cistern well (about 4 meters deep), and two cellars with cruise vault.
The entrance hall could also be used as a temporary or seasonal parking space, perhaps giving priority, in this case, to the second access (also equipped with a large double door), from an alley overlooking one of the central squares of the village.
The first floor ( 170 sqm) consists of three large and high bedrooms, a large living room, two bathrooms (one with window), a kitchen ( 17 sqm) with small fireplace, and a double storage room (of 3 e 5 sqm respectively).
From this level there is access to a large square external courtyard 115 sqm , called " terrace "in the " characteristic "), closed from the walls of the neighboring properties, originally used as a vegetable garden, now cemented and adorned with large gazebo, but restored to vegetable garden / garden or to have a bathtub / swimming pool.
The external courtyard leads to (i) to a built-in walk-in cabin, with boiler and steel security door, (ii) with three large rooms (of 32 , 32 and 41 sqm , respectively) - already used as a crusher and vinification - empty (except for a kitchen with sink and fridge), but already connected to electricity and water (possibility and recast), e (iii) at the entrance hallway of the second building.
The second level ( 176 sqm , essentially mirrored on the first level, consists of a spacious lounge-storage mid-floor ( 12 sqm), three equally large and high bedrooms, a large living room with panoramic balcony, a kitchen ( 19 sqm), with small fireplace, a double storage room (of 5 and 3 sqm), a bathroom with window and adjoining, large shower room (laid in the original colombaia tower), and a small service ( 1,40 sqm).
The third level ( 176 sqm), in its raw and empty state, consists of an attic / attic with a maximum height of 2.55 m , declining towards the external margins.
