Of course, the house of Giacomo has many characteristics of the convent, starting from the position, on a cucuzzi right next to an ancient tower, the house is collected and enclosed and difficult to reach just as were the convents in the Middle Ages ....
Thankfully, Giacomo has built a beautiful and comfortable road to get home!
It is the late morning of a sunny day of late August, today I have an appointment with Giacomo to photograph his house, in the morning we will photograph the east and afternoon side, after the lunch that Giacomo has prepared for us, we will take back the south and west sides.
In Niviano (formerly Gallina Dead in memory of a battle between the Romans and the crow flies that clashed here) there is only a road that ends a few km over the hamlet and precisely for this reason the road is very little crossed.
The house is clearly visible, it is right on the cucuczzolo next to a medieval watchtower.
The arrival at the house is already charming: the gate opens under an ancient and ancient oak, and the road that follows winds around the hill on which there is a tower and the nearby house: Wall in stone to the left, panorama to the right.
I travel 50 meters by gravel road and I reach the house. The house has been almost completely renovated, there are only three rooms and three attics to do. One of these rooms has a fireplace that I can only imagine how beautiful it is when it is finished!
The house is all in yellow exposed stone just as the color of the local stones ... ahead of the house there is a large flat square with under a paved stone paved with the green grass that stands out among the stones. More downstairs there is a luxuriant vegetable garden of tomatoes and peppers ... a strong scent of basil pervades me: Giovanni is preparing the spaghetti sauce with the basil of the vegetable garden.
Let me tell you a little about the house: The house is BELLA.

Continuous: on the ground floor there is a living room with kitchen that is shown in photos: exposed stone walls, oak floors with tiled tables, terracotta tiles ... There is also a study, a cellar and on the other side of the house there is a wood-burning oven and a wine cellar, ham and salami ...
Then I enter the house, a wonderful entrance with an ancient tiled floor, a hall to be completed, a bedroom, a utility room a bathroom and the three rooms to be restored.
From here I climb and have two beautiful bedrooms with exposed roof, a bathroom, the attic to be finished and a wonderful ultra-panoramic terrace.
I think the photographs are much more eloquent than my words ...

Forgot about it, the tower is not owned but the titles are sold for usurage ...
