Originally a high medieval fortification of the Monaldeschi della Cervara family erected in the 8th century, it underwent significant transformations under Sforza Monaldeschi during the Renaissance. Its most radical metamorphosis occurred in 1880, when it was acquired by Count Edoardo Cahen d'Anvers, who commissioned architect Giuseppe Partini and gardeners Henri and Achille Duchêne to redesign the castle in a renewed medieval style. This wonderful property offers 35 rooms. The ground floor of the castle features an imposing gallery adorned with frescoed walls, vaulted ceilings with inlaid wood, statues, and marble floors.
