Charming natural Stone house in the romantic Argentina Valley
Surrounded by untouched nature and with the backdrop of the Maritime Alps, this house is situated in the upper Argentina valley and enjoys sweeping views over the river delta. The location just outside the hamlet Bregalla is pleasantly quiet; the nearest shopping facilities and restaurants can be found 7 km down the road in the medieval village of Triora. The wide beaches of Arma di Taggia are some 45 minutes away.
The natural house built of solid natural stone dates back to the year 1400 and was completely renovated in the 1980-ies. It has been well looked after since. The house offers 118m2 living space split over two levels. It also benefits from two cellar rooms (approx. 15m2) on the lower ground floor. Both floor levels have direct access to the outside and could be divided into two units. The main entrance lies at ground floor level. A long hallway leads to the bedroom with open fireplace and a storage room and bathroom are conveniently located at the front righthand side of the hall. Two steps on the left connect with the dining area with the rustic living room and open fire on one side and the kitchen located on the opposite side.
A staircase leads from the dining area to the lower ground floor where the main living room with open fireplace, two adjacent bedrooms and one shower room are located. One of the two rooms is fitted with all connections for an optional kitchen.
Thanks to its traditional ambience the house feels very comfortable with its terra cotta flooring throughout, white-washed walls, natural stones and wooden beams. The three open fireplaces and a comfortable gas central heating system ensure the house is kept warm even during the cooler months of the year. The gas boiler was replaced in 2016.
Spacious terraces surround the house and a summer kitchen with brickwork BBQ and pizza oven invites for outdoor dining. The surrounding 2,000 m2 grounds are planted with mature oak trees and the option to purchase additional land is available. Parking spaces are located on the grounds.
