Nestled in the hillside in the ancient hamlet of Capovico in Blevio, this property was completely renovated about 2 years ago to create a charming house ideal for a couple.
The small one-bedroom house with red shutters is typical for Lake Como villages and was painted in white creating a “fairy tale” ambience.
Access to the house is through a few steps and is reached by a private gate. The house is developed on two levels and features a spacious patio with BBQ area for outdoor dining with very nice lake view.
Immediately upon entering the house, you are welcomed with a modern living area with open fully equipped white open kitchen, one bathroom with shower, a small sofa bed and on the second level a spacious bedroom paved in elegant fishbone parquet that opens up to a wonderful balcony with fabulous lake views.
Typical of hamlet villages, although there is no assigned parking to the property, there are plenty of public parking only a short and pleasant stroll in the picturesque hillside hamlet of Blevio.
To complete the property there is also a storage room (cantina) under the house.
You can reach the lake by car in five minutes or about twenty minutes by foot.
The property is ideal as a cosy tranquil retreat just 1 hour from Milan or as investment for touristic rentals.
The town of Blevio is located very closely to the province's capital, Como: It can be reached in a 5-minute-drive.
In Blevio you can enjoy the calm and charming atmosphere that is typical of the small towns around Lake Como. The beautiful promenade by the lake invites you for walks. There are also several historical villas and the famous restaurant MOMI.
All year long, Como's shipping company offers comfortable connections to the other locations on the lake.
Milan, the Lombardic metropolis with the international airports Malpensa and Linate, is only an hour's drive away (55 km). The city of Lugano in Switzerland (with its regional airport) can be reached in 45 minutes (36 km).
If you love to ski and snowboard, you can drive to famous winter sports resorts like St. Moritz (Switzerland), Madesimo, Bormio and Livigno (Italy) in 2.5 to 3.5 hours.
