Vestreno belongs to the municipality of Valvarrone, located above the town of Dervio. Dervio is a small village located on the shores of Lake Como The quiet town of Vestreno is above the Dervio plain, on the northeastern side of Lake Como, about 8 km (about 15 minutes) from Varenna, about 29 km. (about 25 minutes) from the city of Lecco and approximately 10 km from Colico. From the port of Dervio, the "Como Lake Navigation Company" offers all-year-round ferry connections with the other towns on the lake. The city of Como is about 70 km away (about an hour).
