The solution we are going to describe is located in Bagnaria, a locality in the heart of the Staffora Valley on the road leading to Varzi, in a hamlet called Mutti. We park in front of the house, open the gate, a few steps and enter the house. We enter from the kitchen side with its dinette and then begin to explore the house. We find several rooms, a study, bedrooms, two bathrooms. The building is old, certainly dating back to the early 19th century, all in stone, the authentic kind.
While the first part of the house has moved spaces, the second part is a room of about 120 square metres still to be finished, today rustic, offering the possibility of creating a room to one's own measure, with a large living room, kitchen, two bedrooms all on one floor. A special mention must go to the stone façade that has been restored to perfection, where some of the stones date back a very long way. A job of restoring the existing stonework that gives the context a remarkable imprint.
The cellar floors are actually storerooms and other spaces to be interpreted as desired. In addition, in front of the house there is a small outbuilding of about 50 square metres, which has been renovated and is now used as a workshop, and in front of it there is about 6000 square metres of land as well as an open view of the valley. What can I say, a context that meets people who love silence, nature and the atmosphere of old farmhouses.
A photovoltaic system has also recently been installed, with a heat pump and remote home automation ignition, convenient for finding a heated house when we arrive.
