Baldoni Palace

A palace originally the property of a noble family from the end of the 16th century, Baldini Palace is located within the castle walls of Montecarotto in the province of Ancona, in the very heart of the Marche region.

It enjoys a cool climate in summer and a mild one in winter and the landscape is typically hilly.
The historic centre is famous for its cultural events, with the famous "Verdicchio" wine festival and many other artistic celebrations.

From inside the noble palace with its panoramic view of the Sibillini Mountains, we find beautiful frescoed ceilings in excellent condition painted by the Parma artist Barilli, author also of the pictorial decorations of the Montecarotto theatre and the Palazzo delle Finanze in Rome.

The interior is embellished with beautiful original floors in antique terracotta with authentic doors and windows and a magnificent triumphal access staircase, all preserved and maintained over time.

The building of 580 square metres is spread over three floors.
The ground floor was dedicated to the servants with less embellished rooms but still of great charm with decorated grit floors and vaulted ceilings.

The first floor represents the noble space where the great lords of the time spent their days with large and bright rooms with painted ceilings. There is a long hall dedicated to gala evenings, illuminated by 3 large windows. In the basement can be found the old cellars for storing food and ancient artefacts, and an enchanting cave dug into the tuffa and where there is a well of natural water.

The building belonged to a well-known noble family originally from Montecarotto. The family is registered in the "Golden Book of Italian Nobility" and in the "Official List of Italian Nobility". It is furnished with late 19th century furniture.

You can reach nearby Jesi in 20 minutes by car, the airport in half an hour and the sea in 35 minutes.
