The construction
It consists of two floors and an attic. The attic can be reached via an internal staircase (continuion of what reaches the first from the ground floor). The surface of the attic is about 80 square meters, the roof, supported by wooden beams, is sloping and at its highest point has a height of less than 2 meters.
In addition to the provincial road (south side of the house) there is a plot of land with some olive trees.

The building is located less than 400 meters from the historic center, whose village overlooks a series of hills that accompany the river Tronto to its outlet in the Adriatic Sea. Certainly, that the origins are Roman indicate it the myliarium of 49 BC, preserved in the Conciliary Hall and a funerary epigraph that is preserved in the garden of a private house. The territory was "Castello of 2nd grade" in the city of Ascoli, to which it was connected by "sacred covenant", and from the late medieval period they are the Palazzo della Pievania, once Palazzo del Governo of whose original structure (XV century) there are still the caves for the conservation of grocery for the time of siege and the wooden door of what was the prison, the Porta Castellana and the pentagonal Tower, both adorned by gribellini and both from the 16th century. From this period it is the volume of the "States of order and reformation of the Community of Castorano", a pergamenical code dating back to 1612.
Of historical and artistic interest is the Church of Santa Maria della Visitation, whose original nucleus would date back to the Thousand Year but which has been several times extended and renovated, which stands next to the pentagonal tower in the historic center, and the sixteenth-century Church of San Giovanni Battista in Pescolla locality (away 2 km from the historic center).
The territory is particularly suitable for wine production, as is demonstrated by the fact that within the municipality there are six producers who work well and that all have reached levels of excellence. Important is the processing of the grave lace.
In the town there are several cultural associations, one of which is named after Carlo Orazi da Castorano Ofm, a missionary in China from the 1700s to the 1733s theologian and synlogue.
