Perched on the hills overlooking the Bormida Valley, just a few kilometers from Acqui Terme and surrounded by magnificent views of the landscape and meticulously tended vineyards, this farmhouse, expertly renovated while preserving the captivating features of the Langa stone houses, reflects the meticulous care given by the owners to preserve all the precious aspects of this splendid residence. Upon passing through the portico, where a barbecue area with a wood-fired oven has been created, we enter the interior through a small corridor leading to the dining/living room with a fireplace, connected to the spacious eat-in kitchen. The origins of the municipality of Ponti date back to several centuries before the Roman Empire. In this area, the population of the Liguri Stazielli settled permanently. The ancient thermal city of Acqui Terme (Aquae Statiellae) was actually founded by this people. With the arrival of the Romans, the village of Ponti (from the Latin "pontum") became strategically important for controlling the bridges constructed to cross the Bormida River and to develop connections and trade along the Via Emilia Scauri, which dates back to the first century BC.
