We are delighted to present this stately residence with its timeless charm and historical significance. Thought to date back to the end of the 16th century identified by a stone found during the restoration.
Owned by the same family since the mid 1800 and having previously been owned by the Ceriana family of bankers who turned it into a silk spinning activity and later developed the production and marketing of silk by extending its activities into the banking . The Ceriana family together with the Agnelli family and others were the the founders of Fiat…
In the house Giovanni Strata was born and lived there until his transfer to Turin and there’s a commemorative bust of him in the square of the Village, Strata was one of the first Italian aviators who participated in the First World War.

The imposing facade of the property is of neoclassical style with its  restoration in the 18th century with materials from a castle, disarmed by the Spanish in 1644.

The renovation was conservative with great care to preserve the properties authenticity and there are many original architectural elements.
Each wall of the house has been dissected and the cavity insulated to avoid moisture problems that can  be typical of this type of house and the supporting structure has been reinforced with steel rails.
