San Domenico di Varzo is a tranquil ski resort in the heart of the Piedmont Lepontine Alps. It is located on a plateau between the mountain slopes bordering Val Cairasca in Val Ossola. Here, skiing is possible between 1,420 meters in the town of San Domenico and 2,550 meters in Dosso, covering approximately 35 km of ski slopes. The favorable geographical location and exposure provide excellent natural snow, allowing skiing from December to approximately May.

The Saas-Fee ski area is in the highest mountains of Switzerland. Its car-free village, located near the Glacier, is often referred to as "The Pearl of the Alps." The Saas-Fee/Saas Valley ski area ranges between 1,470 and 3,600 meters. At this altitude, and thanks to the glacier, snow is always guaranteed on 145 km of slopes. Beginners can learn new skills, freestylers can enjoy the snow park, and carvers can practice on the glacier slopes. Skiing is also available during the summer. After a day on the slopes, one can enjoy one of the many clubs in the town.

Construction on the new cable way is continuing in San Domenico di Varzo (VB). It connects San Domenico, at 1,420 meters above sea level, to Alpe Ciamporino, at 2,000 meters above sea level, with an intermediate station at Casa Rossa, at 1,736 meters above sea level. In less than 5 minutes, it will be possible to reach Rifugio 2000, where one can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view.
