DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE MASSERIA
THE INTERIOR: The interiors of Villa Artemide are developed in four stone buildings adorned with characteristic barrel vaults. The recently built structure has two stone and tuff units, both of which have a large outdoor veranda where lunches and dinners can be organised, a dining room, kitchens, three bedrooms and two bathrooms with showers. Apulian tradition is reflected in the two Saracen trulli, each with a living room with alcove and bed, kitchenette in the alcove and bathroom with shower.
THE OUTSIDE: Villa Artemide is framed by a vast piece of land of about three hectares (completely fenced in), adorned with fruit trees, including lots of pomegranates and a flourishing olive grove (of about 290 olive trees) that gives privacy. The large, welcoming swimming pool is located near the trulli, with a comfortable, fully equipped solarium.
FACILITIES: the property is equipped with air conditioning, an artesian well connected to four cisterns, an alarm system, iron grilles and mosquito nets. The masseria is sold complete with furnishings.
THE AREA: Villa Artemide is located in one of the most evocative valleys of the Itria Valley, just a few minutes' drive from the irresistible historic centre of Ostuni. The Itria Valley is best known for its trulli, and nowhere are these more evident than in the picture-postcard town of Alberobello. Locorotondo and Martina Franca are also worth a visit. If you are looking for beaches, the Adriatic coast offers long stretches of sand and some highly recommended lidos. Further afield, Lecce, Gallipoli, Otranto and Monopoli are justifiably famous towns just waiting to reveal their secrets.
