The name of the Masseria comes from the Church of the Angels. This church, built in 1598 at the behest of a local nobleman, over the years, was repeatedly rationed by the Saracens who stripped it of all its most precious essences. Shortly after, near the same, was built also the Convent of Santa Maria of the Angels. 
In recent decades, several interventions in more excerpts have allowed the recovery of the church, while the convent, pours in a degrading state. 
The municipality of Presicce is 68 km from Lecce and 115 km from the Salento Airport, in Brindisi.
