Originally known as Masseria La Sterpina, from the name of the district in which it is located, this typical Apulian building comes back to life thanks to the expert renovation by the current owners, who were very careful to safeguard all the original architectural elements, from the vaults to the niches, from the fireplaces to the floors, the typical, colorful and much appreciated "cementine" alternating with "chianche".
The original farmhouse dates back to around the mid-1800s; it is completed by partly connected and partly independent structures.
Strategic position that makes it dominate the surrounding landscape ... with its almost 70 hectares of land that slowly degrade, cultivated with vineyards, citrus groves, olive groves, Mediterranean scrub, woods and oak groves, easy to reach, it is only a couple of km from the town of Mottola and only 20 km from the crystalline sea of the Ionian.
The cultivation, already started, of agricultural products, to support the Km 0 catering, has room to be intensified, as well as the tourist activities, the guided visits to the Gravine present within the property, as well as to the "Mirabili Grotte di Dio".

The central core of the masseria is preceded by an external stone courtyard overlooked by the various entrances: the B&B reception leads to some rooms and, both via elevator and stairs, leads to the upper floor, which develops other welcoming rooms, the most intimate and private ones. Other rooms have total independence, with access from the external patio: 16, with private bathroom and equipped with every comfort, develop 24 beds. Visiting them you can perceive that warm, welcoming and harmonious atmosphere that only in our magical Puglia you can find ...
Another very pleasant note deserves the restaurant, which can always be accessed from the external patio in total autonomy: a room with about 100 seats that makes you take a dip into the past, with its vaults and whitewashed walls, but which is also equipped with a fully equipped and perfectly functional kitchen.
In continuity, a huge gazebo was built, protected but perfect for lunches and dinners in all seasons; here there are about 150 seats.
We were saying that the position is particular ... the horizon is in fact outlined by the view of the blue Ionian sea, easily reachable by car ... but if we wanted to forget about the rest of the world and abandon the
machine?
A spectacular infinity pool, surrounded by a generous solarium equipped with sun loungers and gazebos, welcomes us and makes the holidays unique and unforgettable in this place: it is the element that undoubtedly elevates and gives added value to a structure that is already unique.
And to complete the experience, a poolside bar, well-appointed and strategically positioned.

The masseria is in full operation: both the rooms and the restaurant and the swimming pool are fully functional and produce income all year round. It certainly expresses only part of its potential, as it lends itself to a significant expansion and raising of the standards of hospitality.
