The beach has a yellow-reddish sand bottom with golden reflections, moderately coarse, due to the presence of pebbles and shells especially on the shoreline. In some of the coves of the long beach of Is Arenas, you can admire stretches of coastline with sand formed by white grains of rice and crystal-clear water.
Behind the beach, the panorama is dominated by the forest-covered peaks of Montiferru, while towards the sea, one can see Capu Mannu, from which the Sinis Peninsula begins.
It is particularly attended by windsurfers. It should be noted that in some parts of the beach it is possible to practise naturism freely.
