The apartment is situated in the district 1 in the historic centre, an area with the possibility of a high income from the tourism. It is a well-tended historical district that goes from piazzale Michelangelo to Porta Romana to enter in the walls where via Serragli begins and leads to the Carraia bridge that stands above the river Arno. From via dei Serragli, full of shops and supermarkets, you can arrive in a few minutes in Piazza Santo Spirito, that is beautiful by day and rich in pubs by night; today the nightlife of Florence is situated in this area.
To stroll in this district is not just walking, it means to live in the past, to live the Renaissance. With a few steps you can arrive in front of the immensity of Piazza Pitti and then to Ponte Vecchio, heart of art, culture and love that gives off in every corner. It takes 10 minutes by feet to reach the railway, the tramway and the square where you can find all the buses to reach the sea (Viareggio or the Elba island) and the mountain to ski or the countryside of Chianti where they produce a docg wine.
The house, on the main floor, can be reached with 23 steps. There is an entrance with window, two arches and a column that are the original ones of 1600. On the left you can find the study with window, behind the arches there is the bathroom that serves the day zone and a long corridor equipped with the original braziers. Then you arrive in the kitchen that is connected to another annexed apartment of 1500. In fact the ceiling coffer with an height of 3.40 metres reveals two kinds of wood. In the juncture of the two woods there were taken restoration works with earthquake principles. After the dining area with its kitchen corner we enter in the sleeping area composed of a small bedroom with window and two double bedrooms with glass doors that open one on a balcony and one on a terrace, both overlooking the historic garden of Gould (here it is possible to wake up in the city centre with the song of the birds and the scent of horse chestnut and pink acacia). One bedroom has en-suite bathroom, the other two share another bathroom.
