Description
The winery is reached by following a beautiful, well-trodden dirt road through the rolling Tuscan hills. The winery, which is a member of the Chianti Consortium, has a surface area of 21 hectares, part of which is cultivated with vines and part with woodland. The main farmhouse on two levels is about 400 square metres and was built in the 15th century. From the external courtyard, which is used as a large parking area, one enters the living area where can be appreciated two large kitchens and a very bright reception area, two smaller living rooms, one of which is currently used as an office. In the sleeping area there are five double bedrooms with two bathrooms. Outside the house has an oven with a diameter of about two meters where you can cook for the whole family and guests. The door of the last room leads to a large outdoor terrace with views of the vineyards and in the shade of a centuries-old oak tree for the reception of guests and wine tasting, renovated in 1998 with a kitchen and bathroom. The farm also has a large room of about 80 square metres. At a short distance from the main house there is a characteristic cottage intended for agritourism, now consisting of two flats with separate entrance of about 80 square meters each with two double bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom. This residential part enjoys a panoramic garden with gazebo. Underneath the flat there are two rooms used for work equipment, storage for the caretakers' quarters and the water purification system.
Outdoor spaces
The farm consists of 21 hectares, 11.5 of which are planted with specialised vineyards with a density of 5000 plants per hectare. The remaining area is covered by a wood for about 4.5 hectares, by the access roads to the vineyards and by the built-up areas and their resediments. Grapes are produced in accordance with the rules of organic viticulture. The wines currently produced are Chianti Classico DOCG, Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva and Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione. The grapes are harvested separately for each blend in order to obtain wines from Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes "in purity".
State and finishes
The residential part of the property has been completely restored, as well as the cellar and the vat cellar for the ageing of the wine. The renovation has been carried out with the total recovery of the original materials, the facade is in local stone, the floors are in terracotta, the ceilings are also in terracotta and with the antique beams, beautiful and perfectly preserved. The presence of antique fireplaces in the living area embellish the rooms creating a cosy atmosphere that takes the mind back to the past and country life without sacrificing comfort and modern functionality.
Potential use
