Between the towns of Cinigiano and Arcidosso, in the province of Grosseto, are the 400 protected hectares of the "Poggio all'Olmo" Nature Reserve, at an altitude of between 800 and 1000 meters, with panoramic views over the Valley dell'Ombrone, Monte Amiata and Val d'Orcia. The reserve is best-known for its botanical wealth: woods of black pine, fir trees and centuries-old chestnut trees alternate with grasslands and shrubs.
