Description
Eighteenth century Seven-bedroom Beautifully restored Villa within walking distance to Bagni di Lucca - REDUCED IN PRICE
This villa is one of the oldest villas in Bagni di Lucca and is dated to 1738. It has been lovingly restored and refurbished by the owners, who have tried to keep to the Italian principles of interiors, by combining the original features of the villa with modern comfort.
Bagni di Lucca is best known for its thermal springs since the Etruscan and Roman periods, set in the beautiful valley of the river Lima.
The town center is only a few minutes walk away from the villa with all the amenities, from a couple of really good restaurants and two pizzerias, to bars, shops, banks and post offices. Here is also a tennis court within walking distance. The popular ski resort Abetone is only half an hour's drive away.
Ground floor:
Large entrance, two bedrooms ensuite (one of which isn't registered as a bedroom, but completely useful). From one of the bedrooms is a door that takes down to the rustic basement. This is a great project could a small Spa that would give even more value to the property.
The stairs going through the house are all in pietra serena from this area.
First floor:
Utility room, where the exit is for the first porticato (covered terrace), large dining/living area, large bedroom, bathroom and gorgeous kitchen with last generation's white ware. Here one can also find the exit to the Italian garden, which is only a minor piece of the seven hectars belonging to the property.
Second floor:
A walking through room taking to the second porticato of the villa, four bedrooms ensuite and a spacious living area in between the bedrooms. Here is another utility room that has a hatch with a hatch with stairs taking to the attic, which hasn't been restored.
On the first floor, where the owners are living currently, the heating has been separated from the rest of the house; meaning there are separate burners. The heating is methane gas. The water boiler is big enough in case of all the rooms being occupied.
Currently the owners rent out rooms to holiday makers, and with Bagni di Lucca being very attractive to tourists, they are doing very well.
