Description
A relaxing oasis in a small villa surrounded by the greenery of the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
The building is a two-storey villa of 130 square meters located at about 150 meters from Fazzano (Municipality of Fivizzano, MS).
Fazzano is a small village on the top of a hill 458 m above sea located in the greenery of the high Lunigiana and is the last village on the road that climbs up from Pian di Molino, towards Folegnano and La Giunca, and then descends towards Mezzana and Monzone.
The village, formed by sandstone houses, is dominated in the center by the great Francini palace (now renovated), a wealthy landowner family. Fedilla Francini, wife of Lorenzo del Prete, a Lucchese doctor, was the mother of Carlo Del Prete (1897-1928), aviator hero of war, who spent long periods of his childhood in Fazzano and remained very fond of it. Next to Palazzo Francini, which ideally divides the village into two, there is the once active oratory of San Giuseppe, erected at the behest of the Pennucci family, but today it has been abandoned.
The village is characterized by numerous sculpted portals, walled majesties and evocative vaulted passages.
In Fazzano there are about thirty houses, less than ten of which are inhabited by residents, while the rest consists of second houses used as summer residences.
Living in such a small village is like living on a human scale where time has stopped at the lifestyle of the inhabitants of the hills more than 50 years ago.
A short look at the composition of the building under subject. The ground floor consists of:
(i) a small kitchen with adjoining dining room;
(ii) a bathroom with bathtub;
(iii) a double bedroom;
(iv) a room with wardrobes and study
(v) a closet.
The pertinent sidewalk is in porphyry with ceramic decorations.
The first floor consists of:
(i) a large living room (with adjoining terrace);
(ii) a bathroom with a shower;
(iii) a double bedroom (with adjoining terrace);
(iv) a bedroom with two bunk beds.
Opposite the entrance of the first floor there is a small courtyard of about 40 square meters paved with old hand-carved sandstones.
All rooms are furnished with fine furniture both in style and modern.
All the fixtures are in anodized aluminum.
The building is surrounded by a fully fenced garden of about 1100 square meters in which there are many ornamental plants and fruit trees (olive, cherry, apricot, plums of various qualities, fig, apple, pear, pomegranate, walnut).
